Recovery unit

This Unit has nine recovery beds, and receives patients directly from operating theatres. The Unit is staffed by skilled recovery nursing professionals.

High-Dependency Unit

Our four-bed, high-dependency unit is located within the Surgical Unit. It provides specialist care for those patients who require close monitoring after surgery.

Pre-Admission Clinic

The pre-admission clinic provides patients with appropriate pre-operative medical assessments. The pre-admission clinic also provides valuable information and education about your procedure.

Coordinated Discharge Program

The discharge planning program ensures that appropriate support mechanisms are in place for you when you return home. The aim of this program is to reduce stress and promote optimum recovery.

The coordinated discharge program looks at all aspects of post-hospital care, including: transport home; assistance with mobility, hygiene and dressings; food, cleaning and shopping; and links with community support networks.
